Tax law challenges for partnerships (2024)
Workshop by Susanne Schreiber and Toni Hess on the occasion of the ISIS) seminar on June 3 - 4, 2024 with the title "Tax law challenges of partnerships"
Staying up to date is a major challenge given the rapid evolution of tax law and tax practice. The goal of this annual seminar is to provide participants with a thorough and up-to-date overview of the latest developments in corporate tax law, including legislation, administrative practice, and case law.
The workshops offered provide participants with the opportunity to learn about the most important new developments in a concise and focused manner over two seminar days and to deepen their understanding using real-world case studies. In each workshop, both the perspective of the tax administration and that of the taxpayer are examined by a representative from the field. Participants can therefore benefit both from the speakers’ extensive practical experience in day-to-day tax practice and from their insight into the latest developments in case law and legislation.
In this seminar, tax law issues affecting companies and their stakeholders will be discussed using selected case studies. Both the specific tax challenges facing partnerships and the tax pitfalls associated with corporations will be explored in depth during the workshops. Of course, the topic of corporate restructuring will not be overlooked and will be the focus of a dedicated workshop. And as always, in addition to updates on withholding tax and stamp duties, as well as in-depth discussions on specific tax issues facing SMEs, current developments in the field of intercantonal and international corporate tax law will also be addressed.
The program includes seven workshops, six of which can be attended; that is, in addition to five “mandatory” workshops, participants can choose on the spot whether to attend the workshop “Update on Value-Added Tax” or “Challenges of Tax Procedural and Criminal Law.” Regardless of this choice, participants will receive detailed documentation and guidance on solutions for all workshops.
Once again this year, we have a guest lecture scheduled to conclude the seminar.
